Towering above the Village Center with slope side convenience

Exterior
The home is approached from a private cul-de-sac by a paved driveway to heated diamond-shaped exposed-aggregate concrete auto court, edged in random flagstone.  The home’s exterior is Cameron Tuscany stone from Oklahoma and heated cedar shake roof with copper flashing, decorative roof ridges and crown-shaped chimney caps.  Exterior details include circular and angular stone accents.  Heated flagstone steps lead to the oversized American walnut entry door, with matching transom and sidelights.

Main Level
The exterior stone extends to the west wall of the foyer, the floor of which is a blend of two French limestones.  The foyer also features a Kevin Clark light fixture, large closet and curved wooden railing overlooking the stepped-down great room.  The wood floors throughout the home are Australian cypress.

The great room has a large gas log fireplace with Oklahoma stone surround and large windows with motorized shades overlooking the impressive views of the Telluride ski area and surrounding mountains. Two sets of double doors lead to the heated flagstone terrace, extending the length of the west elevation of the house.  This terrace features multiple levels, a 2-sided fireplace, one side of which is a covered area with seating, and a Frigidaire 30” gas grill.  Off the great room to the north is the knotty-alder-paneled library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, gas log fireplace with wood and granite surround and custom wood mantel, large windows overlooking the views, and plaster coffered ceiling with large exposed beams.

The dining room is off the great room to the south and has two antique chandeliers, fixed glass panels with doors leading to the butler’s hall and doors leading to the heated flagstone terrace.  The hallway/butler’s pantry has a Fortuny silk chandelier and Kevin Clark light fixture, and wet bar to serve both the dining and great rooms, with SubZero undercounter icemaker and wine cooler.  Off a second hallway, with full buffet setup including knotty alder cabinets and granite countertop, are the mud room to garage, laundry room, powder room, office and kitchens, as well as the elevator and grand stairway to upper and lower levels.

The mud room, floored in slate, leads to the three-car heated garage.  The laundry room is beyond the entry closet and has two front-load extra-capacity washers and two gas dryers, all Bosch brand, drawers under washer/dryer and shelf above, formed concrete countertop and sink, drying racks and a hanging area for clothes, as well as custom cabinets and slate floors. The powder room, with separate W.C. features an antique chandelier and antique sconces.  The office has ample storage, two workstations and two televisions.

The main kitchen has a seating area with flat-screen television, breakfast nook with built-in seating, a large island with walnut countertop and Kevin Clark light fixture, and painted poplar cabinets and ceiling.  The balance of the cabinets are stained knotty alder and the countertops and sink are granite.  This kitchen’s appliances include Viking brand 6-burner range with griddle and matching trim, hood with granite accents matching the countertops, two dishwashers, garbage disposal, warming drawer and paneled trash compactor.  The paneled refrigerator and freezer are by SubZero and the steam oven is by Miele.  The service/coffee kitchen, accessed through the main kitchen, has a large pantry with built-in cabinetry, 2 SubZero undercounter refrigeration drawers, Viking microwave, room-temperature wine storage area, Miele built-in coffee maker, granite countertops and sink, and a private powder room.

Lower Level
Wood stairs with knotty alder railings, and the elevator, lead to this level, which is all floored in Australian cypress except the guest bedroom, which has wool carpeting.  This level is served by an outside-to-inside air exchanger.  The temperature- and humidity-controlled eat-in wine room is finished in stone with a Montruse stone floor and brick barrel vault roof rescued from a Denver warehouse.  The wine room also has a chandelier and recessed cans for lighting, a sideboard with sink, two large thermopane glass windows behind the wine racks for views into and out of the family room, and storage for wine glasses, plates, flatware and table linens.

The guest bedroom to the north of the family room has a walk-in closet with built-in cabinetry and en-suite bath with tile and stone floors and counters, separate W.C., double vanity and jetted tub.
